Howdy everyone. @lizthefair reminded me about Amazon Smile after she bought something and listed Mach 30 as the non-profit to give a donation to based on her purchase amount. It turns out any non-profit is eligible if they are registered with the IRS and Guide Star. Thanks to the hard work of the Mach 30 founders, we are listed appropriately to be found by shoppers using Amazon Smile. But, in order to claim the donations, we have to register to receive Amazon Smile donations. See here for details – https://org.amazon.com/ref=smi_ge_rl_cc_cc
Given many of us use Amazon for a lot of our shopping, I wondered what the Board thought about registering and then (within bounds) sharing the Smile link with our community. I ask this with all deference to the planning work we just completed. I want to keep us focused on the good planning we have done, and make sure we process the new data reasonably. Perhaps this could go on to a list of possible PBIs for the RGC? And then Greg and his cohorts (as they are available) can evaluate the program and recommend if (and when?) to sign up.
